You expect too much. Not even the 2080 Ti can average that on high/ ultra.

Yep

But I think he realizes that, sounds like he is "just saying".

Techspot - Core i3-9100F vs Ryzen5-1600AF
quote:

Having recently reviewed the Ryzen 5 1600 AF, you should know all there is to know about this nimble CPU. How it performs, where you can buy it, what you need to support it, and so on. In short, it’s an incredible value and if you're lucky enough to have it available in your region and want something for under $100, there’s simply no better option, or at least that’s our opinion.

However we've seen some replies claiming the Core i3-9100F is a better choice. It’s also cheaper and more widely available, so there is that. It happens to be one of Intel's most popular CPUs right now as it costs just $80, so before we get into the benchmarks, let’s discuss Intel's budget processor.

What do you think of the 3900X so far?

I just upgraded, because of chipset issues on the MAIN PC to a 3900X under an EKWB block. CPU staying around 50C under load. My 32GB of DOMINATOR PLATINUMS are at 3400MHz @ 1.375 CL16-16-16-36. I will try for 3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 when I feel like messing with it.

Love the CPU, but it feels "odd" and sluggish but not sluggish at times because of that low ALL-CORE OC/Boost clock. Sort of reminds me of using 8th-10th gen Intel mobile processors. Yeah I have more cores and it can handle a crazy amount of work compared to previous 7th Gen Mobile CPUs but, the low and short boost clocks made it feel "sluggish" at times when hopping around in Windows.

I don't know if I've noticed a big difference over the 2700 in general Windows usage, I've noticed better gaming and productivity or course. VMWare Workstation Player seems worse so far with older OSs.

What about your temps?

For me they are somewhat low, below 50C but the sensors are weird.

I can jump from 38C to 50C and back down to 40C within a second. Wild random fluctuations even if idle. Thermal management seems to be ultra aggressive one minute then super conservative the next.

This appears to be common with the 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs, and it has to do with how quickly the CPU can respond to a task or instruction request. It involves both the architecture, and the power management solution in Windows for Ryzen CPUs.

Theres a lot of threads on Reddit about this. Apparently its not an "issue", but its certainly different than how Intel CPUs act.

I get that, and understand.

It is just not "smooth" or feels finished. More like some BETA curves.

I feel like it's time to do another benchmarking extravaganza.

It's been a while and it seems like we have quite the influx of PCers coming in.

10th gen Intel spotted, release imminent.

Will Intel actually lower prices? Stay tuned.

I sold a Dragonite for 200 and Blastoise for 300 on eBay.

Can't believe how the market changed since I collected last in 2013 and a little in 2016.
