That's my favorite thing about AMD, the FineWine. Always supporting old products with new features and finding ways to get more performance from new and old.

Nvidia could learn a thing or two there.

4.45(all core)@1.4v is the highest semi stable OC I achieved after messing around a little. I've been running it 4.3 all core with stock voltage as the daily driver OC

Damn, should have got the 3800x.

Think you are off base here.

AMD driver release is like a few times a year.

nVidia driver releases are sometimes a few releases per month.

Everything is being covered by both companies. For the most part.

Negative. AMD releases the same time as Nvidia monthly.

I think you are off base here.

No, they follow the same format as Nvidia with usually 2-3 per month.

They used to not. Just a year or two ago it was different.

Only amd gpu I have is an APU now. Didn't think this changed.

Very interesting.

The narrative online doesn't seem to match, per PCPer. It's something they always talk about.

But believe you, thanks.

Almost exactly one year ago, AMD released its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 2019 driver update, and today the 2020 version has landed. This now-annual update comes with notable performance increases as well as new features. Since 2015, AMD says the company has averaged 16 new or enhanced features, a 12% average performance improvement, as well as an increase in stability year over year. This year we’ll see 20 new or enhanced features as well as a 12% average performance increase across a baker’s dozen worth of games.

Integer Scaling and Radeon Boost available all the way back to Tahiti/Pitcairn 2013 cards.

nVidia doesn't do 2-3 times a month.

It all depends. Games, tech, windows updates, etc

Most driver updates aren't much more than bringing in a line of gpus and don't affect all lines or even games.

Yeah, most of those monthly types are for new games releasing so they're often times just GameReady drivers.

Yeah the Nvidia GameReady drivers as they call it. Don't think AMD calls it anything specific. Both are the same though.
