When I did live in Houston I rarely went. The items I wanted never had sales when I needed them.

It's cool to browse though.

I suppose so.

The Fry's in Arlington is a very weird place. It's like a junkyard inside of a warehouse.

The Fry's in Houston, think they have 2 but the one I went to was lame. Was like a BestBuy. Brand new in the middle of a field in Alvin.

Edt: Does the Arlington one have a large "maker" section?

I love that part.

Not yet. Going this afternoon to pick it up. I'm still in the debate phase. I was really sold on the Red Devil until I saw that there really isn't much headroom for overclocking on the Navi chips.

What do you mean? They both OC almost the exact same.

Both cards gain about 5K in TimeSpy OC vs no OC.

I gained about 8K but I'm on a custom cooler.

ETA: found my stock result

and my best OC

Very interesting. Reviews I saw, which were sponsored, said that the RD was pretty close to being as far as you could push it. I don't know, I've been out of the loop for years.

What is a Red Devil?

Is that PowerColer's DEVIL card?

Oh okay, didn't know they renamed it. They used to come in some sick arse 666 packagings. I had one years ago to compare against MSI's 780 Lightning. That DEVIL card had a serious cooler, but would still get hot.

But keeping up with 3rd party cards was always sort of useless for me. Everything just got a block on it anyway.

What is Sapphire's "flagship extreme" GPU card line called?

I can't remember. IDK if they even still make one.

They still do, it's like a $20 cheaper option.
