That is a VERY nice monitor for that price with the promo code.
I believe that's the one I almost bought but it went off sale before I could get it. People bitch about the stand being a little weak but that seems to be the case with most monitor reviews on newegg

Bezel on the 1st is thinner, cleaner and more modern.

I can't say because I haven't used the other. All I can say is I have been satisfied with this monitor for the 150 I paid for it last year.
