My 1st build.
It's adult legos, as I have said I learned what little I know thanks to those on here, I am in a position to buy pretty much what I want, but it took MANY years to get to this point.
Current build before I put the sides back on and try to clean up the cables before ILike has a stroke looking at it.

A single 1080 is close enough to SLI 980s in terms of raw power that gaming performance would be negligible, especially since dual 980s won't scale as well. However, the 1080 also has twice as much memory, so you don't hit vram bottlenecks trying to play certain games at 1440p with ultra textures.

I am not sure if it was the MOBO or the cooler, but I couldn't get the pump to run, I will test it out when I swap the old hardware into my 2nd computer.
