I mean Tomb Raider, Samus? Aren't those two of the biggest gaming franchises in the history of video games?
I mean, people bitch and moan about this, but it all comes down to the fact that they'll never stop. It's just like with that Jennifer Lawerence billboard for X-Men: Apocalypse. Everyone bitched and moaned that the series needed a female lead so they gave her one. He's strangling her in the billboard and then all the feminists came out and complained that it was promoting violence against women.
If we make a game like with a female lead and the chick gets her arse kicked in any part of it people will just bitch about violence against women some more

Geralt of Rivia is my favorite fictional character in both show and game. Saying that Ciri is as bad a bitch for female lead as you can get.
1. She is special by blood
