Haven’t gotten this far yet, but can you edit incoming recruits names once they’re on your roster?
Also, will there be the ability to upload community shared recruiting classes reflecting actual real life recruits?

I’m enjoying the game while playing on All-American, minus one thing… Defense. I know the basics of defense, your cover 2, cover 3, man to man. I know when they trot out 3 WRs then I’m in nickel or 4 WRs I’m in dime etc. 3rd down is where I get killed every game and 90% of the time is some kind of crossing routes that I get picked a part on. If it’s man I shade my coverage to the inside yet my CBs are still 2 feet behind the WR. If I play zone the QB will definitely find the hole in it. Blitzing is just asking to get burned. I’ve tried just about every disguise as well.
The base defensive playbook is 4-2-5, which I prefer, but still I dunno. Anyone found any success?

one thing i've noticed is that the CPU doesn't shy away from going deep. i don't remember it doing it that much in NCAA14.

I didn't say that once. If people like arcade games I have no issues with that, however, this needs to be more after a long wait and the hype.
AI Zone defense coverages are quite literally fricked if not flat broken (Not hyperbole)
Line play/blocking (both sides) is fricked. (not hyperbole)
It ruins the game if you want something deeper than cool visuals and presentation.
ETA:
Got a refund from Microsoft with no issues. I'm hoping some miracle recovers this year's title but I'm not hopeful. Reminds me of the year Madden was released on the new engine for the latest gen of consoles. No amount of tuners and patches helped really.
Shame it wasn't released on PC because the master race would have probably modded this into a decent game

You don’t want to wait and see some patches first? Jesus Christ talk about jumping the gun. As far as the issues you mentioned, they don’t happen every play for me. Is it annoying when it happens? Absolutely. But enough to sell the game before it even officially releases? That feels like a severe overreaction IMO

I mean I get it but this game has had more care put into it than the last 5 Maddens combined. I get your frustrations and the game has flaws no doubt but the gameplay is still enjoyable for most

I'm not knocking anyone that's enjoying the game. Not at all. Not my intent.
In my old age I have moved over to PC gaming almost exclusively.
Had some hopes for this one though. Have a Series X and just play NHL and the MLB the Show with my son mostly on the console.
Maybe down the road things will improve for this game under the hood. It looks great, highly impressed with the presentation.

For anyone who has played dynasty mode, what can you change once recruits are on your team? Can you change their faces, names, and number?

Since the standard game is coming out tonight are we expecting there to be an Day 1 patch in the next day or so?
