DA 2, while linear as frick, actually was well written if cliche. The narrative wasn't destroyed by the ending, the choices you made and even the romances actually had a bearing on the story. With this game no matter what choices you made in the previous 2 games didn't matter. Everyone essentially got the same three choices at the end and in all of them the mass relays are destroyed and your character is forced to commit genocide. In addition the ending had holes in it big enough to fly that whole armada you spend the entire game assembling, through it. Not to mention characters you see die, that the game it self tells you die, end up mysteriously crashing on a remote system. Not to mention that areas at the end are unfinished. In short it was game of the year until the last 20 minutes. Oh and the launch day dlc can be unlocked without the extra code they charge you 10 bucks for.

You explained it how I planned to before the great TD fail of 2012

That article only states that some of the DLC was on the disc. Nothing about being able to play it.

See edit. I don't know how much of it was there. Because I actually paid for it in my preorder but apparently if you have a modded box and know what you are doing its there. The code is in the article.

I just finshed the game and thought it was pretty great overall. I do agree the ending wasn't perfect, but it awesome was and left the door open.
The Best- Gameplay,weapons,powers,etc,etc.
The game was pretty deep and gave me a chill a few times. The death of Mordin & Thane, the dream scenes with the dead kid, the the mission on the Asari home world, Samara mission, Legion or Tali, etc. Lots of win there.
I was thinking how ME goes foward?
I think maybe Shep planted a little Shep seed in his LI that will become the future Shep Jr. of the series.

who have beaten the game?
What was your outcome?
How did you like the outcome?
Did you play the entire series?
Anything you wish you had done differently?
How rewarding did you find the your experience(especially those who played 1-3)?

I beat it.
I destroyed the reapers along with every other synthetic in the galaxy. I'll be damned if I'm letting those bastards off the hook after spending three games worth of effort getting ready to go up against them. Sucks about the other synthetic races. Even though I wasn't able to charter peace between geth and quarians, the geth were ready to bust some heads for me against the Reapers. I felt like I betrayed them.
I wasn't impressed with any of the choices presented to me. And I certainly didn't like the lack of resolution once I had made my choice. I'd like to know some of the implications of the destruction of the mass relays, I'd like to know what happened to my team mates, and I'd also like to know how my war fleet felt about being stranded on earth with no chance of returning home.
Yes, I've played all three games.
I didn't save the Rachni queen and I would've picked a different romance. I did Liara->Tali->Liara. I wish I would have done all the proper steps to form a peace between Quarians and Geth.
It was rewarding enough until the ending. And honestly I don't think any of my decisions aside from saving certain party members had any real impact on events in the story. For example, one of my characters saved the council and one didn't. It seemed like all that changed is that there were different councilors (obviously) and a few lines of dialogue had changed. There has been no other significant changes. Wait, I take that back, some of my alliance war assets were depleted because they never recovered from their losses defending the original council if I chose to save them. And we all know how important war assets wind up being.
Fun series, but Bioware were too ambitious with their promises. The company has been on a slow decline, which has something to do with it IMO. I don't regret playing, however.

Also, Harbinger was strangely silent in this game compared to ME2.
I guess he got tired of directing things personally.
I expected at least one conversation with that dude, if not a full on confrontation.

I beat it.
I destroyed those Reaper bastards. Between the Merge and Control endings I saw destruction as the only viable option. There is no way that I would control the Reapers when that is the goal that TiM wanted. If he was indoctrinated and wanted to control the Reapers why the hell would I follow his path. I would have been for a Merge ending if there was a choice for everyone involved, but no one man had to choose the fate of everyone in the galaxy. I find it patently absurd that it was a choice, I damn well wouldn't want someone else to make that choice for me. I got the cheese cutscene with Shepard taking a breath and some a-hole telling his kid that the details of my victory have been lost to time.
I thought the outcome was inane. The endings I could live with if there was a modicum of closure provided by them. As it stands, it brings up more questions than it answers which is a terrible way to end a stand-alone game let alone a comprehensive trilogy. Why was the Normandy traveling, how did my squad-mates get on the Normandy, why wasn't the battle with Harbinger instead of some twat AI god? It's been days since I beat it and I can't rationalize it.
Yes I beat the entire series multiple times.
No, the outcome of my choices was invalidated by the ending and the War Asset system. The Rachni decision ends up "rewarding" you with some emails and +25 on the crucible. Re-writing the Geth means more Geth follow the Reapers but no change in the story.
I found the game very rewarding on that first playthrough. I had a noticeably different playthrough than my buddy did, one of the things being that I kept Thane alive in ME2 and he saved the councilor during the Citadel attack and he did not, so Kirahhe was blasted in the face by Kai Leng. I had Wrex, he had Wreav, etc. The deaths of several characters were extremely well written and gut-wrenching for me. I felt for those characters and their fate, emotionally manipulated on a level no game has done before. BUT the giant middle finger to me at the end overshadows all of the good-will built up over the series.

So what endings were paragon, neutral, and renegade? To me control seemed paragon due to the blue energy release. Destroy was renegade due to orange/red release and new species was neutral with the green. Thoughts?
ETA: All endings sucked. Only one Shepard lived was destroy for me.
