Me too. I would love to be able to team up with a few people here to play the game. Bethesda needs to get in the MMO ring, imo.

I'm really surprised this one wasn't MMORPG. The money is huge and hard to pass up.
I don't want Elder Scrolls to be MMORPG but I can't blame them if they move to that business model.

Doesn't need to be a full MMO IMO.. just a game that you can host/join with say.. up to 4 people. Or even do it on a purely LAN basis. Would be fun as shite to have a game this immerseive that I could play like borderlands.

Keep it single player. The whole series is based around it being a single player game. Bethesda themselves have said many times that they look at multiplayer with each new game they make, but they've never been able to find a way to do it without messing up what Elder Scrolls is all about.
It would make a poorer game.

I don't care if it's betstheda or whomever I just want a fantasy rpg version of borderlands with more content
The difficulty ramping up with the # of players involved is key

I wouldn't mind this, just not from Bethesda. I like their games the way they are right now.

MMORPG is all about keeping you playing month after month. Content takes a long time to produce so it is easier to keep you online by making the game a serious grind instead of constant exciting game play.
I've already lost years of my life playing a stupid MMORPG. I'm not getting mixed up in that evil life stealing mess again.
An Elder Scrolls MMORPG would look pretty but it would suck the life out of the game as they REALLY slow down the leveling and skill advancements.

I'm pretty much done with MMO's as well, although I wouldn't mind one similar to Asheron's Call (the first one, which I actually feel was very close to the playstyle of elder scrolls albeit a lot less spells)
ETA: again, not pushing for an MMO, I want 3-4 man dungeon crawls.

Then check out Crimson Alliance. It's on Xbox Live Arcade. Up to 4 player co-op(both online and local), sort of like Diablo, but not nearly as long

Ya I'm done with MMOs too, Wow took all the life out of me on that one. I will of course play Diablo 3 when it comes out. Skyrim needs to come quicker

I have only played LOTRO but boy did I have three or four level 50s rather quickly. When you start turning down going out with friends on a Friday and Saturday nights to go on raids for epic loot it means you are too addicted. I had to quit cold turkey, I couldn't balance real life. I spent way too much time with it.
I would love to try out Guild Wars 2 though but just dont have the time or money sink required. MMOs aren't really made to be played casually, at least I find that to be the case. I love the fact I can play Elder Scrolls which is an immersive fantasy RPG which I can pause or save
anytime.

I feel like guild wars is a little bit less intense than WOW.. but I didn't really play GW a lot.
Also I liked wow when I was in a relationship, it gave me something to do when I got tired of hanging out with her + something to do while saying "mhmm, ok, yeah" on the phone.
But I quit when I was single again..

I agree it is better to get it out only when ready but they clearly have botched the release news. Hell, they showed game footage like 3 freaking years ago.
