I figured it was on it's way out.
I don't think it should become a chore for you. I'd be willing to split it evenly, but who owns what who does what. Sounds like more of a chore.
To be honest seeing all the destruction made me mad and ready to give up. I can't get back to all I had for a while and it is going to take time to get there. I got to a point where I could do projects...now I have to start over.
If it has to end it has to end. I had an awesome time playing and don't regret it one bit. Thanks for all your help and work!

I am about to either shut the server down or get everyone to chip in to keep it up.
Could you maybe upload the world save so that others could download it? I'm interested in checking out the world.
I'd also be interested in getting a new server going if anyone else has any interest. Minecon started today and there are some pretty significant overhauls to redstone coming in 1.5.

I can but there is really no need for y'all to start over. I will hand over the keys so to speak if anyone wants this one.

I did a little research...
According to this: LINK
I can host 10 players on an old PC that I don't use any more. It has enough ram and I have enough internet speed to handle it. I think that would be more than sufficient for the amount of traffic on it nowadays.
I won't be able to get it up and running until around Christmas until I move into my new place, but if it's for free. I think it's a cheaper alternative and nothing would have to change. I don't have the skill of running permissions and all the coding for and on the server, but I can at least host it.
Just a suggestion.

All good things come to an end.
Every rose has it's thorn.
A candle in the wind.
We painted with all the colors of the wind.
We lived like we were dying

Agreed.
If it has to die, let it.
I and many others may love the map file so we can revisit our creations though.
