Play the bull just like every other boss. Aggressive as frick and hesitation is death. Chase him down and attack his back side, abuse firecrackers, if you get positioned badly you can deflect his attacks but you’ll build posture fast and chip damage if I remember. Basically just take the fight to him. A good way to kill beast bosses in the game when you’re new is bait out attacks you can vitality damage them on disregarding posture buildup then stack posture when it’s low. Same for both owl fights If this is your first run of the game I’ll save you a lot of trouble. For most of them fight the beast like humans

I watched a hitbox video for Sekiro the other day and realized why this fight was so annoying: the bull’s head has its own hitbox. So I kept trying to deflect the timber (which my brain said was the “weapon” a la Dark Souls) and kept getting smoked. I ended up beating him (before watching the video) by just quick triggering deflect in close range and nailing true deflects on charges, but yeah, that was bullshite
