I'd like an extended cab (I think they call it a supercab). No need for 4x4. I want it mainly for the bed, and I can take the boat out and the wife still have the SUV.
I built an F-150 STX with everything I wante a few nights back - just $32,000.

whatever you do, pay attention to the interest rate

why STX
at least go with the XLT, IMO
don't mind the sticker, i got like 12,000 off of my sticker
also, do you by any chance qualify for x-plan?

i admitted to that not being one of my best decisions.

My credit's pretty good. Besides, I know how to just walk out.
I did that when we bought our SUV. We ended up getting our payments a little over $300 for four years with low interest.

don't even discuss payments
thats their game they like to play
know what kind of loan you want and how much you can pay and get that to a bottom line price and talk price, not payments

i had both of this
i just didn't understand interest rates or whatnot, and it was right when the new body styles came out. They weren't offering any types of deals or rebates and i bought it anyway

It was an XLT, not the STX.

thats most likely the xplan
it will automatically get you close to invoice pricing
it pretty much takes the haggle out of the transaction
they were offering 1000 bonus cash for financing through ford with a shitty rate
i signed up for that to get the 1000 and then refinanced a couple weeks later at a credit union for much lower
also, sign up online for an F150 pamphlet, most of them come with a $750 coupon, order a few pamphlets from different ford vehicles to increase your odds of getting one
i got one on all 3 that i requested, but i've heard you don't always get them

Wait, what?
if you can only pay 400 a month, they'll gladly put you in an 84 month loan at only 9%

i was doing a trade, so i only talked about "out the door price"
that included TTL, trade, financing, etc.
that way they can't nickel and dime you at the end

Tell a salesman you want to spend $350 a month and they'll have you in a 6 yr. high interest loan just to get you $350 and the vehicle you want.

it could work if you do your homework, i just find it easier to know my own numbers and limits and what price that equates to

Luckily I have a connection in the biz. My wife's uncle is a GM in Slidell and he got us in good at Toyota over there and at BH BMW here. We only paid $400 over cost. I believe it, too. They took a lot off the stickers.
