GOOD:
the background at the bluffs is one of the best u will find. It really is beautiful.
It is very challenging and offers different variations of play. From the mens tee if you played the course correctly you would hit 3 wood more often then driver. U could practically leave ur driver at home besides a couple par 5s.
Also their signature hole (#9) has a split fairway and water in front of the green. Pretty bad arse hole.
BAD:
No GPS, not the end of the world, but I dislike. U have to buy the course book guide thing.
The casual golfer might get his arse handed to him here. Definitely bring balls if u plan on playing driver.
The fairways have taken a beating apparently. A lot of hard dry spots.
Either the greens are having a tough transition from winter or they fricked them up. They all look over cut and burnt. Most of them were nearly cut to the dirt and over sanded. The greens were my primary reason to recommend giving it time. They alone make it worth sitting out a month or two orwaiting until fall.
Also the sand traps were fille with gravel, which I definitely don't remember from last year.
I played the course last winter and it was perfect.
It's possible this is a better fall course.
For the price it's worth going at some point, however the greens are beat up bad right now.
A course that is in amazing shape and offers gps is Copper Mill.

I got the 910F fairway with the ka'ili shaft. Really liking the shaft a lot more than the Titleist blueboard from the 909 series.

Sweet, I have the 910 fairway f-d and love it.
Got it strictly to be able to take off tee.
I am playing the diamana blackboard in it.

SOCOM bump. Played the first level of the single player. It reminds me a lot of Uncharted. I was surprised at how pretty the cutscenes were. As far as gameplay, everything works like you'd expect. Cover can be chipped away or blown apart. It flows a lot like Uncharted, too.
Nothing's going to blow you away...it all seems like anything you've seen before. That's not to say there isn't quality here. It's just not that different than anything else. And NATO? WTF is that shite about? I want full on Navy SEAL action, damnit.

i was contemplating until i read this. I'm out.
The previous SOCOM's that i played were fun, but almost felt too long. I got bored with them before i was done

The lead dude is a SEAL and I think his team members are SEALs, but you are working for NATO to find some bad guys yadda yadda yadda. I'm just pissed about the NATO crap. And in one of the opening cut scenes, they had the retards in the baby blue helmets. lolz
ETA: Your team doesn't have baby blue helmets. Your dude actually has a fresh Penn hair do.

Yeah. Except this game is a little more difficult in that bullets hurt you.

There also seems to be plenty of weapons. After I completed the first mission, I came across a scene that let me pick my gear for Mission 2. I didn't explore it much, but I could pick my primary and secondary weapons as well as grenades and equipment. I could see that other than AR's for the primary, I could choose five other categories...presumably SMG, LMG, Sniper and maybe a shotgun? Don't know for sure.

Is it much different than the demo? I wasn't too impressed with it.

Just like the demo. Which I liked.

Meh. To each his own.
I hope BF3 lives up to the hype. I miss getting shot.
