do the TrainYard Survival Mission.
There is a covered rail with a cart in it where you can duck down inside the entire length of the car and move back and forth from end to end.
provides cover from the heli's and funnels the cops to attack from the ends. shooting fish in a barrell at that point.
me, Westlake, and a random beat level 10, got the $20k, achievement, and a ton of experience points doing so. It also got my shooting skill up to 60% in doing the mission twice.
all you need is the Assault SMG to start with and a pump shotty. The armor, health, and Advanced Rifle pick ups are nearbye.
it's the best spot we've found for getting past lvl 10.

We did the survival one out by Trevor's house, in Blaine county. You can get on the roof of a building which is good until about round 5. After than just move down to the side of the house and stay covered.

I want to unlock the assault rifle, Survivor is so much easier with it. The SMG is good, but just doesn't have the range.

At the pause screen youll see an online tab... Go there then hit join friends.
