But Leonie is an absolute beast for me. Can't be touched, and is a bow knight that i brought up through Cavalier, so she has 2x Range on Bows, hits like a truck and then can still do double attack swings with a Spear.

Finally beat it after 60 hours (Golden deer, hard, permadeath). Some parts of it were overly repetitive for me, but it’s a good game. If I had to rate it on a 10 point scale it would probably be in the 8-9 range. Very good but maybe not game of the year level.
Slay the Spire is still my favorite game of the year. This has been a hell of a summer for the switch though. I love my PS4, but I haven’t turned it on in a while (that will change before too long I’m sure). Now I’m debating what to do before Links Awakening - buy Astral Chain, buy FF8, return to AC Odyssey, or finally get around to trying xenoblade chronicles 2.

If you liked FE and JRPG"s in general, this would be at the top of my list.
It's a brilliant game. Still my favorite game on the Switch even with Odyssey and FE.

Dang son. I got to the time skip right around 43 hours. I'm now on Chapter 15 on the Crimson Flower route. This is the shortest one, so I hope to beat it this week.

Same I was somewhere at 45ish hours, although now I'm at 80 hours on Chapter 20. I've been doing a lot of battles post timeskip.

Well, you have a big decision to make that'll drastically change what happens.

Annnnddddd done. For the first time at least. I'm going to jump right back as GD because none of the BE characters really interest me. Will play that route last.

Not a bad ending, pretty short though for how long the campaign is. I like how they wrap everyone up. When looking back, Ashe was my MVP for like 20 battles, but he still wasn't good enough to be in the last group for the last battle.
Super specific Spoilers for character paired endings....
Ashe and Dedue started a bed and breakfast...
That was a nice touch.

I'm about to go into chapter 18 meaning I only have 5 more chapters to go... and I have no clue how this story is going to resolve in 5 chapters
ETA: if it feels rushed... I'm going to be a little disappointed, especially considering most fire emblem games have had 27 chapters plus a final chapter

These games have so much more going on in between them though. Took me 63 hours to beat the Black Eagles route which only has 18 chapters.
Game was very good. Was pretty sad at my endings though. Very, very few happy ones.
