It's actually pretty easy now. I did it for fun the other day. If you don't have the flawless trophy it is a way to get it.

I fricking died at Crota by fricking up my jump to get away. I got stuck and he killed me 
I have never done that before and that's how I died. This is how I intend to get the flawless though.

Died at crota again. I did what I always do and he didn't go down. I must have missed with a rocket but they have tracking so that really shouldn't happen.

Once you know what you are doing you can do it in 30-40 minutes

If you want crota gear or the materials to upgrade them, but they don't level to year 2. I do it for fun, collecting, and trying to go flawless.

If I'm on next time you're doing Crota for flawless hit me up. That's where I got my flawless. I can solo all the way to Crota without dying but have never killed him solo. I can be your rocket-man :\ Also, radiant material can be exchanged for glimmer/motes so that's a good way to keep a supply.

after 2 hours of trying with randoms (cause my usual team are scrubs it turns out) we detonated all 16 and got credit for 0. I simply turned off the PS4 lol

We got it done the first time we tried. Tried on a 2nd guy yesterday and it was brutal. I just don't have the patience to listen to random people bitch at people they don't even know anymore.

I was in the mountains on vacation til Friday evening so I didn't get much time to try.
It really pisses me off that I can't get a good group lol. Without the slightest added effort I use my 1k Yard Stare to stagger my ogre for the middle guys, stagger the next ogre, and land a headshot on my knight as he spawns. I use three shots from my ToM to kill the knight and if the relic runner still hasn't grabbed the relic (cause they can suck too) I try to snipe the knight next to my platform if he is still up.
Considering all of that I get a little surprised when we are in the middle and notice there is still a knight running around and one of the bombs is gone.
"guys...someone didn't kill their knight."
3x "wasn't me."

I'm over it too. I still haven't beaten hard mode because of it. That's why I work on my flawless when I play usually.
