Make sure you pick up as many rings, sorceries, miracles, pyromancies, and boss soul weapons as you can. Upgrade as much as you can since you'll have to re-unlock all coals, and ashes, etc.
Here is a 'cheat sheet' for every item, and quest line. I used it, and am still using it for my NG+ rings run. Cheat sheet

You can summon one of them, black crystal them out, then summon another. That's what I did. But I still had to go to NG+ to get the final gesture I was missing from Heysel, since I chose to do Sirris quest line first in NG.
that's what I'm talking about. I'm in NG+ and didn't really do anything for gestures in my first game (went 100% blind until I had finished the game, then went back and got everything I could at the end). Now I'm in NG+ and I can not get the gesture for the one covenant, because I'm doing sirris' quest line this time

Thanks. Looks like I have a lot more work to do before NG+. So its not possible to do all NPC ques lines in a play through?

If you're only referring to questlines, and not specifically achievements, then you are correct. It is not possible to do all questlines as you have to follow either Yuria or Anri. You cannot do them both.
As for achievements, I believe it is possible to get all achievements except for rings, and there should be one gesture left to get in NG+. For me it was Heysel. Also there would be two endings left to get as well.

I don't really care about all the achievements but I like to do the full storyline with each NPC. I'll have to read all the info online.

dark sword is OP in this game. I'm expecting a nerf. After I stumbled across it I found it very hard to go back to my katana.

Just finished up smoldering lake, 2 levels from removing my Dex ring.
Time to fight Creighton for sirris' quest. Her quest had bugged me a good bit

It's honestly not that great for PvP, it has very little guard break, not super super fast, or doesn't have to massive stun lock damage of some of the bigger weapons...
Basically, it's mid-tier in PvP
But it is god-tier in PvE
My NG+2 I'll probably be rolling with the faith based sword... The one zombie was using in NG+3. Want to try everything out

Is pyromancy glitched or something because people are killing me with the one that continuously shoots fire when I'm not even close to it

Beat Pontiff on my second try... Such a bullshite fight, I'm tempted to create a commentary about every part of the fight that is bullshite... The camera angles, the infinite stamina, the crevices in the fricking wall that the clone and pontiff can block you into and free wail on you

aldritch is a fricking bitch. pretty predictable, which is making it all that much more frustrating. summoning some back-up hasnt been helping either, most of these clowns are eating it pretty fast. going on 4 hrs today.
crystal sage was difficult for me as well, and aldritch is like that fight on roids.

I beat him this morning, currently shopping with the wife, but I'll link the fight when I get back. Beat him on my first try using the same method I used to beat him on my first game.

Finally got heem. My sunbro ate shite after a couple swipes, so it was very much a clenched butt-hole affair.

Because it's a completely random boss. It sums up what I hate most about 3 and why I'm already utterly sick of it.
Best thing to do is ignore the orbs and rush him, when he goes under be ready to sprint to the other side of the room. He often won't arrow spam and he'll resort to melee (which is still hard to see because of the camera - surprise!). People use vow of silence on him, but spells last for such little time that I think it's fairly useless.
