Do you download the “games” or programs vía wifi?

Also, any recs on which are the best to start out with?

It depends on what kinds of games you are into. If you're new to VR then definitely start out with the tutorials. They are not only extremely well done but they are fun as well.

I've had a lot of fun with Moss (single-player puzzle game) until I got to a fight that I have not been able to figure out.

Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is a freaking BLAST if you like a solo zombie kill-fest RPG. Play it outside for a little extra outdoor ambience.

Arizona Sunshine is another single-person zombie game but can be a 4-person mult-player, it's a shooter with some puzzle aspects. It's got good ratings and can be a lot of fun.

Beat Saber is a rhythm game similar to something like Guitar Hero except that instead of playing a guitar you're slashing things with light-sabers to the beats of music. It's got rave reviews and seems to be a good workout.

BoxVR is also a good workout, just watch out how close you bring in those uppercuts (personal experience lol).

The Vader series has been a lot of fun (speaking of light sabers).

If you want something a bit different there's PokerStarsVR where you and some friends can get together for some Texas Hold'em or 21 in your own casino room (along with other fun options).

If you enjoy the Fortnite style, check out Population One. A buddy of mine picked it up and loves it. He said it took a little bit to get used to really flying as part of combat, but once he did it made it even better.

There's quite literally a shite-ton of different games and the technology is really just scratching the surface thus far.

+1 to all the recs above. Walkabout Mini golf is also great, and thrill of the fight is an awesome work out. Eleven Table Tennis is also an extraordinarily realistic ping pong game that I've enjoyed.

they do this one alot as well.

The one ive played the most is SuperHot. Like your are in the matrix shooting at people that only move as fast as you do. (you move slow they move in slow motion. You move fast they move fast) It lets you plan out your attack and how to avoid their bullets. Fun game

If you can get Superhot on Quest I'd throw that in as a recommendation. That game is a ton of fun.

One of the coolest places in VR gets a lot shite because of the public spaces in it. You need to get on a link cable or use WiFi 6 to not be in the Quest version though, because the Quest version is extremely limited. VRChat allows basically the creation of almost anything you want in Unity, but they do water down scripting to their version called Udon. People created the entire Among Us game in it and the entire Back to the Future ride that is gone at Universal. The big downside is you need to be in closed groups and out of the public rooms that are filled with toxic squeakers. It’s a pretty neat place if you can make it into the dev circles.
