This snake boss that spawns two other smaller snakes is kicking my butt, but this game is really fun.

I have mainly used Switchglaive and Dual Swords although I've used all weapon types to some degree. Switchglaive just keeps me coming back to it

That’s the notorious skill check boss, so don’t worry, you’re supposed to struggle. Nioh 1 had one as well.

Watched a couple videos on how to fight him and I'm gonna try it again tonight?

Did you destroy the statues around the level to get rid of the poison pools in the boss arena?

I did. No success today with snake dude. Will have to try again tomorrow. Once you start a mission are you able to leave that mission? There's some training mission things I was wanting to go do to open up some skills. One is called the way of the warrior novice. I was trying to figure out how to do that.

Nevmind just found out how to do it.

Finally!!!!!!! Got the snake boss. Only took me about 100 tries. Switched to Katana and went aggressive and finally figured out his attack where he could around you.

I platinumed Nioh 1, 2, and Wo Long myself. I just really like the fast paced combat and mechanics in general.

This is an understandable feeling. It can really ramp up in this regard in the NG+ cycles with the wild build crafting potential and new enemy behaviors/properties.

So I just beat what I'm guessing is the final boss. What next? Dlc? New game plus?

DLC then NG+. Rinse and repeat.
You'll start getting Divine rarity stuff so you can maintain a proper gear set now as well.

Just to add to this, some people struggle with the difficulty in the DLC right after finishing NG base game, so some find it helpful to go through some regions in NG+ to get better gear before starting the DLCs.

Also, you don't need to do every mission in NG+ to unlock new regions. Really the goal of the NG+ cycles is to continue to get better gear to make proper builds so that you can tackle the Underworld (and Depths) endgame.

I thought about bringing that up, but it was more of an issue in the 1st one in my opinion First Nioh went crazy with the DLC difficulty spike.

Sloth's point is valid though. If you feel like the DLC spike is too much, doing some NG+ first is not a bad idea.

Just started the first dlc mission and it hasn't been too bad. I'm level 121 and the recommended level is 120 I think. Also, is it cheating to occasionally use the blue revenant guys to help ya?

Everything in the game is fair game You also can get some rewards from summoning blue revs and filling that meter up if I recall correctly.

Just tried to play some Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and coming from this it's so dang slow. Back to Nioh 2, how should I be divying my points. Right now, I'm at level 125. I have around 55 in courage for my tonfa, 25 or so in stamina, 18 in strength, 15 in heart, 18 in constitution, and 16 or so in magic. Should I just keep pumping into courage?
