So we caught a steal at Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro, AL yesterday. Switch with dock/adapter, grey Joy-Cons and Pro controller, for $199. My question is this - my BOTW and Octopath saved game data are on the original console that we bought last year - will there be a way with the cloud saved game data from Switch Online to play BOTW on the downstairs Switch (new), and be in the same place as when I turn off the upstairs console (old)?

We were discussing the impact of cloud saves in the Splatoon 2 goodbye thread, and that may be the saving grace (pun intended) for multiple Switch households.

frick me, River City Ransom is one of the NES titles. That and Tecmo Bowl make it worth the $20/yr, alone.

Yoshi didn't exist in any NES game...

Indeed, he did. It was late in the cycle, and the SNES may have already been out, but it was definitely an NES release.

Exhibit A

Granted, it's a match 3 puzzle game...

There were two NES Yoshi games: Yoshi (1992) and Yoshi's Cookie (1993).

ETA: Yoshi is also present in Mario Is Missing (1993) and Mario's Time Machine (1994), although not as a playable character. I don't think he shows up at all in Wario's Woods (1994).

River City Ransom makes that list solid.

Well, that didn't take long...

Nintendo Switch Online has been hacked within hours of its release, and players have already figured out how to play their own ROMs as well as the 20 NES games that come with the service. The process through which they’re doing so is reportedly easy enough that most fans will be able to replicate it, if given instructions.
