I just can't get my dick hard for the Hyrule Warrior games. What I would have given for a third BotW entry instead.

The first one is forgettable. Age of Calamity was pretty great, especially if you love BotW. The backstory of the Champions, and getting to fight alongside them is pretty rad.

Looking forward to the TotK flavor today.

Started playing Little Nightmares 3 last night in co-op with my wife.

The good news is that on two consoles, you can play co-op with only one copy of the game. That's a welcome shift. The person without the game has to download the demo/Friend Pass copy much like you do with Split Fiction/It Takes Two.

The bad news is that it's not cross-platform on saves. Additionally, if you have a save file on single player, you can't pick up in co-op, play for a bit, then resume in single player from where the two of you left off.

Can one person play on a Switch and the other on a Switch 2? Or is that considered "cross platform?"

That's "cross platform", unfortunately.

These last two are very much a BotW/TotK-skinned Dynasty Warriors. If you liked the chaotic battlefield aesthetic of some of those legacy games and love the most recent Zelda titles, I'm pretty sure you'll dig Age of Calamaty and Age of Imprisonment.

I'll take the new one out for a spin when I free up some bandwidth on work this afternoon, but AoC did a great job at backfilling the lore of the various Champions whose spirits you invoke in BotW. You get to fight alongside them in canon fights against all of the baddies throughout the known universe.

Are the prices of the MicroSD cards going to come down at all? $60 for 256gb seems excessive

I imagine they'd have to, but it's unlikely that outside of Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales that the Nintendo-branded ones would move more than 10-15%.

The mistake is comparing the 256GB MicroSD Express cards that the Switch 2 runs on to older platform Micro SD cards. So long as they're MSD Express, the brand shouldn't matter too much. As a habit, I never frick around with janky third party memory for my consoles. I got bit back in the PS1 days with that.

Played for about an hour last night, and it's pretty amazing. The big selling point is obviously that the entire game takes place in the Ancient Hyrule era where Zelda is warped to, right after the opening scene of TotK.

King Rauru, Queen Sonia, Sage Mineru, the constructs and a lot more figure prominently in the opening scenes, as you might imagine.

While it's not open-world, it's pretty amazing to see the ancient world in more than just the flashback scenes that feature Zelda, especially when you begin to recognize areas you know live & in living color as ruins from TotK.
