Anyone know why on my Switch 2 display settings on my Fire TV 1440p is greyed out but 2160p isn’t? I’m using 4K but 1440p is completely greyed out.
Also, 2160p only allows for 60Hz right?

I'm not super well-versed on the ins and outs of the display stuff.
Our Samsung Q55 was having a bit of a conflict with the HDR settings on the S2 and I had to make some changes in the display settings, per Reddit.

I went ahead and changed HDR setting to Compatible Software Only, and also sidebar changed the battery life setting to stop at 90% as I kept reading that everywhere. I read to the contrary that if you used it docked a lot this setting is good - imagine we're going to primarily use it docked but I do not see this setting hurting either way you play.

Discovered my first 2-3 Peach Medallions yesterday in Free Run mode around Peach Stadium last night.
I believe you need 10 (among other prereqs) to unlock Mirror Mode.

But, just curious about what everyone thinks of the new Mario Kart?
The only console I have is a switch and it is strictly to play Mario Kart from time to time. Debating on getting a Switch 2 but was curious if people were liking the Mario Kart on there.

I'm loving MKW. I've probably played more of it than any other title so far, and maybe more than I did MK8 on the Switch.

Being able to straight line "drift" for that hop on demand is a skill I'm still developing.
Yesterday I learned that there are THREE levels of spark/boost when drifting through turns, now. MK8 only had Blue & Orange. Now there's a multi color after orange for max boost, it seems.

Im sure of some that but … that’s a long drift to achieve, no? There isn’t a way to progress the drift faster that I’m aware of.

Nintendo does this. They'll announce the date a few weeks before release. If it was a big studio or Sony, i would say 2026 but N operates on a different frequency.

They truly half-did open world. Yes it’s fun for a short while but there’s only so much to do and I’m finding myself a bit unmotivated to find the P switches and Peach medallions. There could have been SOME sort of progression/story line built in. Even an upgrade system where you progress, beating opponents 1v1 or in Vs. Races etc would be at least something to fill the void.
It’s such a missed opportunity and it really has the groundwork to be one of the greatest Mario-spinoff games of all time.
The simple fact that I can catch up to Waluigi, for example, as he rides around but he doesn’t really interact and I can’t even race him is really annoying.
Grand Prix desperately needs an option to turn off/on the “drive between” portions of some of the tracks. It’s interesting for sure but the track itself doesn’t get to shine for just that one lap.
Knockout is a lot of fun.
I really hope this gets improved later as a DLC but I have little to no hope in that. As it stands, it’s hard for me to be angry at someone not wanting to shell $500 or $80 for this game.
