Nintendo always charges full price for their games and rarely discounts them. The only time they drop the price is if the game tanks so hard they have to clear out the inventory (Codename STEAM) or if it sells well enough (and long enough) to make their Player's Choice lineup.
Not sure how you can blame them for the Dark Souls price though b/c it's not made by them.
