I saw an 11" OLED on BestBuy.com and it was $2500.

OLED

But, the contrast ratio is 1,000,000:1. :boner:

I thought it was pretty well known that Plasmas have the best picture. They are priced very close to LCDs now too. The only thing is they consume more power so your electric bill will be slightly higher.

The blacks are truly blacker and colors are brighter. My plasma blows away my brothers LCD and my dad's DLP. Technology improvements have dramatically reduced the risk of burn in too.

Although I will admit LCDs have closed the gap with plasmas recently.

I had a 50" plasma that went out and Best Buy replaced it. I chose a 46" LCD because I thought the picture blew away the plasma I had. Its just a matter of what you think looks better when shopping If you are happy with the picture then you can't go wrong

I'll be happy regardless, considering my current set. I really can't wait to hook up the 360 with HDMI to the HDTV. :priapism:

How much difference does the "screen refresh rate" matter on a TV? I'm looking at TVs online and some have it at 60 Hz and some at 120 Hz.

you can get plasmas pretty cheap now. I don't think the picture is any better, and from all I have heard the plasmas are higher maintenance.

Awesome...a buddy of mine gave me a consumer report on my exact model an it was the best rated in the 46" category. I'm pumped.

Short of going through COX's call tree, if I already have DVR through them, all's I gotta do is tell them that I want my service to include HD, right? It should be free, too?

just bought a 65" DLP from mitsubishi. fricking mind blowing. Best picture i've seen

my uncle probably has the same set. good color and the size and resolution are a big plus. problem is the set has horrible contrast and shadow detail. really alot of darks and highs. cant produce a subtle accurate picture.

for those of you buying for the future, plasmas are the best of the bunch. i would stay away from lcds also. most who have bought them have not gotten them again second time around. best plasmas on the market today are the pioneer kuros. they are so far aheado of everyone else its mind boggling.

Samsung is definitely the way to go. In my opinion they're ahead of everyone else with LCD technology.

and even alot of them that are, are not in 1080p

What TV channels are EVER broadcast in 1080p? Im not aware of anything broadcast in 1080P that is not Blueray or on DISH's new system which is still highly compressed.

You're right Catman, that is why no matter what HDTV you get you're still gonna be ahead of the technology out.
