well from what I gathered, any team in those 4 conferences are fair game.

i think bcs conf were the preferred pick. pac 10,big 12, acc, sec, big 10

you can pick any 3 teams from a conference from what I understand...the limit is 3 from each conference so it doesnt get oversaturated with sec or pac 10 etc...if you want to pick vandy, ole miss, and arkansas go right ahead

Yeah, pick any team in any bcs conference. Once one conference has three teams, no other team from that conference can be selected.
