MK9 vs. MKX and MK game(s) in the future

Does anyone prefer 9 over 10? I feel like when they made 10, they put too much bullshite in it and made the fighting system too convoluted. They put a lot of characters and junk in it, but MK9 just had that genuine, raw kickass feel to me that kind of got lost in the mix in 10.

I equate it to Smash Melee vs. Smash 4. Both are nice, but 4 is too polished compared to its older counterpart.

And since both have been around for at least a little bit here are 2 questions about the next:

1. Do they stick with 10’s system? That 3 style selection when you pick the character? IMO, that was completely unneeded and a totally stupid addition to the game to try and make the game more engaging.

2. Does a game like MK finally get developed for the switch after about a 2 decade absence, or do other things factor into another exclusion from the MK library?
