Yes FTB and AT are both good. Technic is another one. Just google ftb and it should be the first one. I am using Agrarian Skies right now and love it. It is on the FTB launcher. Monster is also good.

I dont think you really want the Xray mod. You probably want the xray texture pack. Search xray texture pack instead and you should find some. The are really good for finding spawners etc. Note that you cannot see ore and stuff that is not exposed.

Why stop there, just spawn in whatever you need. Why go out and explore and mine when you can just cheat?

I used to play and had a realm that ran out today. I didnt renew it because I hadnt played in over a week and hadnt seen my friends on either. I figured I could just find a server to play on as well and save my 10 bucks a month. Mods are great on the pc, but you couldnt have those in the realms. Also I do prefer playing on a console. Ill mess around still on the pc till minecraft comes out on a console. I believe they have confirmed that the worlds will be 36 times bigger than on the last gen
