I saw a video where a guy put sand blocks as he went (like a bread crumb trail) to find his way back. Might help you some.

Thats why I always build big towers so that I can see where I need to go

Just keep stacking blocks higher and higher. Put in a second floor, then build higher and put in a third floor, etc.

Spent the first two nights out in the wild, lesson learned. frick losing all my inventory.
Built a comfy room in the side of a mountain. Added bed, crafting table, torch, and a door.
Then built an elaborate mining tunnel system. Didn't find shite but coal, iron, and a lot of lava.
Where is the bling at?
Tonight I will build an enormous castle and a bow and arrow, possibly a moat.

I have some elaborate tunnels down to the depths of hell and have yet to find diamonds. Plenty of coal, iron, and gold. Even found some redstone.
Started working on my living quarters last night. Not happy with it but had get something going so I can sleep and make the nights go by.
To the experts. I thought scary shite only came out at night. I went outside my house in full sun and one of those exploding bastards did some serious damage to my crib.

Creepers and spiders can come out during the day. A spider in the day won't mess with you unless you mess with it first. Creepers are always aggressive though.

This game seems like the biggest waste of time. What is the draw? Seems like a zoo tycoon type of game on steroids
