I did too. They're a little judicious with tree quantity and size, so my house got lost. I then flew over my FILs house so I could text him a picture and nerd him out. I could see it bright and clear.
I'm playing on medium settings and enjoying what I'm seeing. I'm sure I could see more with higher settings, but that's not in the budget for a bit with a second kid on the way

I couldn’t spot my house due to all of the trees as well but the rest of my town looks great.

This game alone could move consoles if they allow it to interface with flight controls. Major cost savings over building a specific PC.

I'm using a basic Logitech 3d Pro stick. It's the budget option, but it works pretty well.

The actual stick is pretty good. Solid movement that translates responsively to the game. The buttons, eh, not so much. Very cheap and clicky feeling. That said, they work as intended, so not really a complaint as it's what's to be expected in that price range. The throttle is also in a somewhat weird spot, but you get used to it. Bonus is that it's pre-mapped as soon as you start the game, so no real setup unless you want to change the mapping.

Do not know why someone is DVing that, it is very valid. The Series X specs appear to let you run at ideal specs or near that. Probably ideal if they tweak it a little for Xbox.

The notion that a console could replace a PC which wasn’t what I was implying. Flight simulator has a MASSIVE following and the Xbox Series X would be a low-priced entry point. Would it replace a high-end gaming PC, nope but it gets you to the party.

You are correct in Flight Sim has a following and it is one hell of an exclusive for MSFT right now. Being able to run it at ideal specs for less than $600 is a pretty huge positive.
