Memory upgrade recommendations for Xbox1

Is there a relatively inexpensive way to increase the memory of my Xbox1? I’ve read about external hard drives and even a type that is supposed to help in load times, to. Not sure how that works, though, or if it’s even real. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can swap out the internal memory with a SSD but at this point in the game its not worth it but you can still get an external hard drive to store your games. Get something that is powered by something other than USB.

External SSD will have a decrease in load times for almost all games with substantial decreases for a number of them.
There are many sites that have load times for games on SSD vs traditional disks so you can look up those and decide which games to place on the SSD. IME, if a game has an excruciatingly long load time on the XBone disk it will benefit greatly from the SSD.
The SSD does not need to be powered externally, USB power is fine. I have a 6TB external disk for the bulk of games and a 1TB SSD for games that I play a lot/ have terribly long load times.

I got This SSD and This enclosure for my XboxOne a few months back. It is definitely a huge upgrade on load times for PUBG, which is the only game I play besides Rocket League so I can't speak for load times of others. Looks like that SSD has gone up about $10 since I got mine. It still gets you in an SSD for sub $50 though so I would still recommend it unless you don't mind dropping $100-$150 then get a Samsung or something.

I got the 3TB WD_Black hard drive for about 110.
It will work on Series X but only for games not designed for the Series X.
