Seeing the "security scan skip" mod made me remember how much i despised that bullshite.
It’s one of those things, like the long elevator rides and frickING RUINING ME2’s INTENDED MISSION PROGRESSION, that we can blame on the console peasants

I know all squad combos have their uses, but which was your favorite?
Commanding Liari to use lift/throw/singularity and then sending the Krogan in with a shotgun just feels so good. While I sit back and snipe

I’ve played these many times on Xbox but the deal was too good to pass up. Any mods y’all would recommend?

I really don't get the ME3 hate. Admittedly, I didn't play any of the games until well after they were out, patched and the extra ending was added.
All of my choices carried over except for the bug queen. I think I killed her and yet she was alive in the 3rd game. That could possibly be explained away similar to Ender's game, there was a queen egg hidden somewhere.
I thought the mechanics and story were great in ME3. I didn't like my initial ending. I didn't think it through and killed Edi and Legion. I felt bad enough about that choice that I went ahead and played 1-3 over again and went a different route. I needed to do that because I wasn't a completionist back then and I pushed the story a bit too fast in ME2 so I was missing a big pile of characters in ME3 because they died in ME2.
I guess my only real complaint about 3 is there is no way the universe would have survived with all of the reapers attacking everything and I'm off doing a side quest somewhere. Hell, Earth would be a a pile of rubble in the time it took me to finish the game. They had way to many reapers attacking Earth for anyone to still be alive by the time I was done.
Oh, I do have a legendary edition complaint. Giving the chicks smaller asses and changing camera angles. BOOOOOOOO!

Depends heavily on which game you’re playing (I assume 1 in this case) and what class your PC is playing as.
Or you can just ignore party comp and enjoy the banter

I posted my (possibly dated) mod list for all three games on the first page, in case you missed them

You have Andromeda (which isn’t great, but isn’t as bad as the internet would have you think), as well as the next mainline ME game that should be ramping up production now that Veilguard released.

I don't want Andromeda, I want the Shepard cnew.
I don't mind if it plays as well or better than Andromeda, but I'm ready for a continuation.
Also want a force unleashed 3..and single played DLC for red dead 2

Absolutely fricking tragic that later games didn’t do frick all with one of the most interesting organic life forms in the known universe.

They brought back the green asari the thorian was using in 2 but that was it. There’s also the prothean orbs you could discover with Shiera’s necklace that only got brought back up once

I’m familiar with Shiala’s callback; I mean anything to do with the Thorian itself as an entity.

I still think ME1 is the best overall experience for a first time playthrough.
I remember when it first came out and it was groundbreaking.
One of the best gaming experiences of my life.
I still go back and 100% it.

100% agree. I genuinely can’t fathom someone skipping ME1 in a first playthrough. So many of the story beats in later games that will fall utterly flat without playing the first game.

I’ll be the first to admit ME1 had its flaws, especially the storage system, but when it came out, it just had this massive expansive feel to it that overshadowed every flaw.
The villain was perfect, the story was all-encompassing, and you felt that you could go anywhere and do anything.
It was a surreal experience that is hard to really quantify.
The first time you arrive at the Citadel. The first time you take off in the Normandy. Your battles with the Thorian and the rhakni queen.
The final confrontation with Sovereign and the Citadel and human fleets breaking through.
The decision to save the Citadel flagship.
I’m going to replay it as soon as I get home.
I’m trying to think of another “first” in gaming that was on par with my first play through of ME1.
Maybe Halo: CE or Morrowind.
ME1 and ME2 are some of my favorite games of all time.
I now want to go back and replay them.

And as you can likely tell from the comparative length of my mod lists, I believe mods can carry more and more weight as the series goes on. As an example, you’ll notice I have the early recruitment mod for ME2. Unless you’re a ME nerd, most people don’t realize that nearly all of the squad mates were intended to be recruited pretty much immediately in whatever order you wanted. But the current gen Xbox couldn’t handle it from a storage requirement, forcing the game from one disk to two very late in development. Which then caused a bifurcation of the story missions. All of the squad mates, like Legion and Tali who you can’t recruit until the second half of the game? All have unique, recorded dialogue for the first half of the game. Tali has unique dialogue as early as fricking Horizon. That mod essentially returns the game to what it was supposed to be in the first place.
And that’s just one mod.
And that’s just one mod.

I almost made a huge mistake the first time I played ME1. I bought it the day before I took the MCAT to relax. Stayed up way too late that night
. It all worked out in the end though.
