You've got more self control than I do.

If a game gets its hooks into me, I find the time to finish it in short order. I'm like that with any form of entertainment.

And I've replayed several Bethesda games multiple times as well as ME1 & 2. Dunno if I'll ever get around to a full series playthrough or multiple ME3 playthroughs. Maybe if my disgust lessens a little bit over time.

Not that you could tell from the amount of time I wasted on this board, or the way I rage at a FPS, but I'm not really a hardcore gamer. I don't care if beat a game on the highest difficulty or unlock all achievements or anything.

I am a side mission whore tho. If there's a side mission to do, I'll waste hours upon hours ensuring I complete them before I finish the game.

I think you also have to factor in whether or not people approach a game with an open mind. I'll grind through a game like Syndicate without really putting much thought into it, but with Mass Effect I set time out to really get into the story and replay it exploring the created world.

What do you mean by this exactly? You can replay each game after you've completed it and pick up where you left off?

ETA: I guess I'm asking if you can replay the game based off decisions you made on the first play thru?

I'm only about halfway thru the first one and I'm really enjoying it. The story is cool and I like the rpg style with third person shooter combat system. I love renegade Shepard too

I invariably straddle the middle between paragon/renegade in my first play-through because I don't skew towards either one. I'll go back and try a renegade or paragon play-through to see what it is like, and learn about what is different through that aspect.

I played some MP yesterday to see if my anger had abated slightly. The first couple of lobbies I got kicked out for no reason(n7 rank 88 no promoted players). I only played three games and while we completed each playthrough it just didn't have the same feeling I felt before I finished single player.

The MP is tied into SP. There is no reason to play it by itself other than the urge to get money and buy weapons aka the CornDogCologne effect

It would seem that I'm easily entertained by idiotic design elements.

If only it had worked with the ending.

I did repeatedly ask myself "why am I playing this?" as I killed wave after wave of enemies. I can't seem to get back in the mood for bf3 and nothing else seems appealing.

This is why it takes so long for me to finish games. I just get bored. Not necessarily with the game, just with video games in general.

I love RDR and I just finished it like 2 months ago, if that tells you anything.

Got a Victory and a Commendation Pack!

Came away with the N7 Shotgun, which apparently, is not really a shotgun at all. I think BioWare made a sniper rifle, took the scope off, slapped a new skin on it, and named it a shotgun.

Just tell me it blows and I didn't miss out on anything.

I just checked my unlock and I got the shotgun as well.

Was hoping for the sniper or heavy pistol, considering I'm severely lacking in those areas but oh well.

Between this and the spike thrower, I'm set on shottys.

I must have defeated the reapers on silver too, because I had both packs in the store. I tried the shotgun that came with it, but it wasn't very good. IMO

I did get the phlanyx (sp?) pistol, which is pretty sweet.

I got the pack, but only got an upgrade to a weapon I already had.

There were two packs possible.

I think the weapon upgrade pack was for killing brutes and the shotgun pack was for beating the reapers on silver level.

Unlocked the geth plasma shotgun last night.

Once I got the hang of it, I was wrecking shop with it. Used it with my salarian engineer. Spammed energy drain, decoys, and plasma balls of death all night long.

And I'm not too excited about this weekends challenge. +25% xp? Meh, call me when it's guaranteed awesome weapon drops.

Only 25% xp bonus?

I thought it would be another challenge.

Or do I suck at reading?

Thats all I got out of it.

2x credits could be cool. Xp is pointless.
