Zone coverage for user team AI defenders is slightly worse than last year, but man coverage is better so far. It’s just annoying as shite trying to play man on a bunch formation, especially if you like to press.

Game is trash as usual.
Kamara is tired before the first snap every game (93 stamina rating). Murray is tired after 3 plays. Dude's get hurt every other possession. shite is dumb.
Shouldn't have 84 speed MLB being able to run stride for stride and pass up a 94 speed guy on a go route.
Either the computer is incompetent on offense or the QB goes 19/20. There is no in between.
considering just requesting a refund tbh

Just started a game. The opposing team got the ball first. Once I got the ball - I called a timeout before the snap. Checked the formations and Kamara was yellow...before an offensive snap even took place. Put Murray in and he's tired after 2 carries.

Some of the plays are flawed especially defense. But faking it to your RB is just one less blocker. Easier to step in the pocket with a fake give though. Easier to run with the QB and I’ve been playing with Brady.
Defense the zone is weak and some cover the flat which so far cpu doesn’t throw over there. And throwing in the flat or a screen never works.
Never go for it out of range. That’s annoying- play the game like it’s meant to be. Only pussy’s quit. Don’t be one.

So far they have the QB play styles pretty down pat. Played against the Broncos who started Teddy and he only threw 2 passes past 10 yards all game… and of course he completed them.
First one I was in cover 0 with press and brought 7 on the blitz, but my corner got worked off the line by Sutton on a 5 yard slant and he caught it in stride. Dusted me.
Second one, was the same scenario as above but I didn’t do a full press and had my coverage men shade inside. Brought the blitz, had a guy shoot the A gap with Bridgewater dead to rights, I just needed to move him slightly to the right and I would have planted his arse Goldberg style. For some reason I flicked my hitstick slightly to the left and completely whiffed and that’s when Noah Fant cooked up my safety on a Corner route cut, got open and was off, but luckily I ran him down.
bridgewater went 27/28-41 for 280, but 93 of those yards were on two passes. Believe he only had two other pass completions for 10 or more yards and neither went for a first, but other than that it was slants/drags/crossers/short ins and outs. There was a point where he had attempted 22 passes with under 100 yards passing. I call it the Drew Knees special.

I’ve tried all out blitz maybe once or twice a game but I’ve had no luck.
Throwing it over the middle is a cluster frick. It’s a tiny window.
I am very pass heavy. If I don’t like it I can tuck and run/ slide or throw it away. QB’s can fumble easy though. Passing makes the game more fun rather than milking away the half.

Spread your pass rushers so that they are truly one on one and if you bring that extra guy he should have a clear lane.

Gotta id the coverage better. CPU plays Cover 3 then Cover 1 then Cover 2 then Cover 2 Man in that order the most. Always keep something that can beat the first 3 in your audibles and you’ll be fine. Also, don’t be afraid to take a one on one deep shite at least once a quarter even if you don’t make it. It will force the CPU into playing Cover 4 especially if you do it out of the same formation and that will open up running lanes and short passes for you. Don’t hesitate to use the jet touch passes 4-5 times a game just to get your QB in rhythm and to make the defense blitz. I love a man blitz defense because I will destroy them on slants and crosses and the occasional streak.

Started a franchise with the Steelers last night. Najee is a beast and Big Ben is awful now. I rarely pass the ball and when I did they drop it half the time

As someone that wants to like this game, it’s terrible.
I took M21 off after playing MUT heavily in MUT20. I had a strategy this year for accumulating coins. Basically, get a competitive team and grind H2H to try to get the top end players (I was a top 100 player in MUT20). Defense is total garbage right now. Pure dog shite. Zones don’t react and M2M is okay unless playing somebody with half a brain will start running man beaters. DEs also don’t disengage blockers after the QB breaks the pocket. If you’re a MUT guy in the fence, it’s a bad game.
On the other hand, I do a franchise with a couple of buddies with a slider set and it’s not that bad. Zones aren’t good but pass rush is there. It’s not perfect but it’s decent.
