I mean, how is that not?

Well when Nintendo offers to publish and the others do not.

That can pose a problem.

Bayonetta 2 looks better than an original Xbox and and a 2008 Xbox 360 game? How could it look worse?

Ninja Gaiden games typically push their hardware.

The problem with the OG Ninja Gaiden games is while they were enjoyable and groundbreaking they didn’t sell well, respectively. Would even say pushed the genre forward after what DMC did some years before it.

The franchise has survived solely cause it has been tied in with Dead or Alive, which is essentially TN and Koei Tecmo’s cash cow. Sony and Microsoft would only have themselves to blame though. It would be the 2nd time in 6 years Nintendo pulled a “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” type of publishing deal to revive or purchase exclusivity rights to what previously was a multiplat in its pilot release. Though, I’d hope they’d bring back Itagaki to direct. He’s what made the first games great and why Razor’s Edge SUCKED.

I mean, they could just have Eldin Ring in development for both current and next gen consoles.

When the transition from PS3 to PS4 happened, there was this period of about 6-9 months were almost all major new releases seemed to come out for both systems.

They were mostly just actual PS3 games that were also being released on the PS4, I'd imagine the same thing will happen this time around too.

This happens every generation. I believe the adopted term for these games is “cross gen title”
