We stayed on the 2nd floor and they stayed on the 3rd. It was hilarious because I went up stairs to do laundry one day and saw there "day room" area. It was an old busted couch and like a 38 inch old arse tv... I then went down to the 2nd floor and reflected on our day room... 6 leather couches and a huge arse projection screen that spanned across the entire wall with over 300 movies programmed into it.. You could watch anything by just pushing in the number. Also had a game room with 3 xbox's and 3 ps3's.. The marines had a pool table...
Needless to say.. I always invited the marines to come hang out down stairs.. They were good people to drink with.

first off, quotas don't exist. That's a myth. Second, I'm not gonna make excuses for cops like that. They're bad apples and give good guys a bad rep. That being said, every profession has people that don't belong. Cops are just more in the public eye than others, as it should be

The base my unit deployed to had a dairy queen, applebee's, steak and shrimp nights in the dining facility...

The best part about my deployment was the couple of days I spent on Al Asad. Holy frick those DFACs are amazing!!! I'd go back just for those alone! I had MREs and bullshite the cooks made for 7 months.
