Plasma Refresh rate is very misleading. 600hz my arse. Divide that by 5 and thats what you get. Yes, 120hz. Look it up. Plus, there arent even many games and such out there that even support higher refresh rates. Take a 120hz and be happy with it. As for "TV lag", There is a setting on most TVs that is made just for gaming. On my Samsung TV it is called "Game Mode"--completely fixed the problem.

FWIW, cable and sat only broadcast in 60hz.

I think argument needs to be more between LED and Plasma.

But yeah, I feel like LEDs seem to have the better lighting, are thinner, and use less energy.

Plasmas look good as well but have lighting issues, are bigger, and weight more, and use more energy.

Visions actually have a really good picture.
I have two, a 37 and 42.

Some people have asked if my 42 was 3D

All I really care about is not having any lag. Dont really care about what models have a better picture quality. So basically I need something with a refresh rate of 120 hz?

Is there anything else that factors in? I have played on 60hz refresh rates before and it was pretty much unplayable.

Yes. And go with a Samsung. I have one and like someone said, they have a "game mode" option on their TV that greatly helps.
