Posting here as its roots are in gaming (Xbox 360) and think it will change gaming in the future.

Video in link below
Kinect - 15 minute mark
Hololens 2 - 18:45
Hololens 2 demo - 27:00

I have played with a Hololens before and it is actually pretty cool. The 2 version looks even better. It is a corp use tool now, but I am still saying it will be a gaming goldmine. Mainly for immersive play obviously, but augmented reality has a larger upside than virtual reality.

Kinect took a beating in the gaming world, but it was the foundation of next evolution.

Oh yeah, the price is still high. This is stand alone though, not tied to a PC. It is the PC.

A full Vive setup can cost you $1000 before you even get to the PC cost.

We all know prices will come down, they always do.

Hololens is purely marketed at the business world now though, so you are going to see business price. Consumer price will be much lower.

Hololens is cool enough for the US military as well to help train soldiers.

If you ever get a chance to try it out, do. It is pretty dang cool. Game changer potential.

Long range plans win.

I could not agree more.

I watched the debut of the 2 yesterday and was a bit disappointed that they didn't mention anything about a wider angle of view (one of the main complaints I've read about the first one is too small a viewing area) and that they are still pricing it for businesses and not consumers.
