Burned myself out on RDR2 a month back or so and haven't played anything since. Is Metro worth giving a shot?

Looked at reviews and they seemed meh, but I don't really trust reviews anymore.

Any other suggestions are welcome as well.

I’ve been watching oxhorn play it. Looks good. I just feel like I’d be completely lost since I never played the first 2

I bought it because I liked 2033 and LL but haven't dove in yet due to Apex Legends

Post apocalyptic story driven fps with homemade guns, and danger around every corner. This one is more above ground than the first two iirc

I'm sure fun could be had without playing the first two

They are like 8 bucks combined on steam. I bought them a couple weeks ago. Going to start last light tonight.

Some people love it. Some not so much. It changes a bit dramatically from the first 2 which were 100% linear. Exodus is somewhat open world.

Some folks arguing that the claustrophobic atmosphere that made the first 2 great, is gone.

I saw someone complaining that the new crafting makes it too easy to get ammo. First 2 games you had to struggle for ammo and now you don't. I would argue it was never a struggle. I've watched Cohhcarnage doing the hardcore play and he never struggled to have ammo. So I don't see this as a valid complaint. I was actually surprised how much ammo was available in hardcore.

I bought it never playing the previous two, it's really fun. The game itself feels clunky for an FPS, but i figured out that's just how it plays. I personally am a fan of open world so that part doesn't bother me. It still has jump scares incorporated in it since its not completely open world. Its also a damn beautiful game.

Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light were both great games. I'm going to wait for a price drop but I'll definitely get Exodus simply based on the how much I liked the first two.

Only computer I have is a little surface pro. I can play age of empires 2 and games like that on it

The remastered for PS4 has both I think. I’ll get it one day

Need to revise my comments from above. The people complaining about too much ammo are idiots.

I've watch Cohh play about 8 hours. He played on Ranger Hardcore in the first 2 games. He never and I do mean never ran out of ammo in the firs 2 games.

In the first 8 hours of Exodus, it has been a struggle to have ANY ammo or ANY medkits.

It might get easier further into the game but I don't see how people can complain that there is too much ammo with the crafting. Maybe on easier difficulty but Ranger Hardcore, ammo and healing are scarce. Seems monsters respawn when you sleep to save which makes scarce ammo even more of a nightmare. Hardcore seems just that. Hardcore.

Damn. Ranger hardcore is insane

Plus the good ammo doubles as currency in markets. Always a lot of decisions to make. Fun stuff

Eta: that might have changed in exodus but I hope not

The good ammo was really only useful as ammo in the final fight in 2033. Last Light, it is currency and never needed as ammo. Looks like they removed golden ammo in Exodus but that makes sense with the above ground story.
