only problem with HC is if you get used to it, its hard to go back to regular, because you have to shoot a person 8 times to kill them and you aren't used to it

That's definitely true. You start a regular game forgetting that it's not hardcore and get smoked. 
Then you have to alter your strategy again back to regular play.

ive only attempted to play hardcore a couple times.
My experience:
Match begins
Everyone take up sniping positions
Me, looking at my teammates like, "WTF" (wish i wouldve had a mic so i could dog them)
Run out...die.
Sneak around. Kill 2 people. Die.
3 minutes into the game, the score is like 800-700

It depends on the map and the people you're paird up with. There are definitely some hard core maps like that. But then there are others that are much more engaging. If you get with a good group you can run some good offensives.
