I can't wait for Dead Space to come out.

Hope it's a smash hit so that they remake DS2 (my fave in the series). Really excited for the reworked zero grav segments and a talking Isaac

The redesign they've shown in footage is all over the place lol. He looks horrible in some shots but great in others. Think they made him look like Gunner Wright more for better mocap accuracy but I loved his original look

Same. I missed it when it came out despite working at GameStop at the time. Just kept saying I’d come back around to it and never did. Ready to play it in a couple weeks.

1 and 2 are two of my favorite games of all time, but I never played 3 because of all the negative hype.

Dead Space 3 is a good game. But it's not really a horror game. It also doesn't necessarily feel out of place in a way. You kinda feel like by now you should be more proficient at running through hordes of necromorphs and beating the baddies by now. Hell you've done it for 2 games. The stakes have kind of ramped up so massively by Dead Space 3 it's not really possible for them to tell the final chapter as a horror game.

The dead space series reminds me a lot of the mass effect series in progression:

Mass effect 1 was a more laid back explorative space RPG. Then Mass effect 2 picks up the pace and reveals that shite is much worse than you thought. Finally Mass Effect 3 says buckle up buckaroo, it's the literal galactic apocalypse and it's up to you to fix this shite NOW!!!

Dead Space 1, a slow horror game about zombies on a spaceship. Dead Space 2 is a little faster paced and let's you know this wasn't just a one off event. Then dead space 3 is like; hold my beer, you thought you won? Nah fam, those are literally just my probes. Just fricking wait and see what I have in store for y'all!

I’m enjoying it so far, never played the original. Lights off with headphones makes for a creepy experience.

I can tell you one thing - I had completely forgotten how on edge this game makes you with the ambience.

Finished Ch.1 tonight and loved every second. It's a beautiful remake that feels true to the original in all the right ways.

Just beat it tonight. What an ending. Looked at how the sequel was set up and felt that it was a good lean in.
