How long to download from steam?

I am on DSL, taking forever to DL Tomb Raider. Also have coupon for Bioshock, but at this rate it'll be next year.

It'll be a minute. For me it took a few hours to get a game that was about 7 gigs. That's why I made the switch to cable.

i have to deal with this too. Make sure to verify every other peice of hardware that might be using the same line is not actively downloading or using bandwidth. tv, phones, other pc downloads, etc.
DSL bandwidth is shite and it doesnt take much to fraction your DL speed on the shite you actually care about and want asap

Steam is undergoing maintenance, or it was. They always underestimate the impact and duration of their maintenance, so it could still be affecting servers and DL speeds.
In general, when I'm not downloading a game at midnight on the release day of a super anticipated game, my download speeds are very close to my internet speed (i.e., about 7 Megabytes per second).

I usually download my games in an hour or two, maybe longer depending on the size of the game
