I went to do it last night but saw a bunch of "warnings" about how it may impact older games' save files.

Has anyone changed their gamer tag since they've allowed it? Did you have any lost files?

I changed it but haven't seen anything affected yet. There's a list out the of games that could potentially be affected, some minor, others critical. A lot of it is leaderboard stuff with some being potential lost progress.

I changed mine as well and haven't noticed anything missing or corrupted.

The only game I have that was on that list of critical issues was Everyone's Golf and I haven't touched that in a long while.

I did. All I wanted to do was capitalize LSU, But they made me change the whole thing. Didn’t lose anything in any of my games. Pretty sure they have a list of games that will have issues with name changes.

They do, and even though a game I play regularly, NBA2k19, was on there, I still changed it and nothing was affected. The list of "critical" games is quite small.
