im probably going to get a 27 inch for destiny and halo. looking for the cheapest possible as long as its 5ms and under.
is a 27inch a decent size?
is it possible to find a bigger one without spending that much?
does the monitor need to lcd led?
never really shopped for monitors before

I'm not buying another one at least for awhile. Just trying to figure out if it's worth gaming on the monitor instead of my tv

I would worry more about input lag than response time. Pretty much every monitor is 5ms or under response time. Check out that link I posted a page back. It shows you input lag numbers and links to amazon. A bunch of cheap monitors on there.

OK so the Lenovo LI2721sW 27-Inch LED-Lit Monitor has a 10ms input lag and a response time of 14 ms shown on new egg. Its 7 on the chart that was linked, rated as excellent. So the 14 ms response time won't be a big deal?

I'm honestly not sure what a 14 ms response time would entail. I know a lot more about input lag but from what I've read 14 would be too much. That link has tons of monitors for under 250 bucks with response times under 5ms and input lags under 15ms.

It's a huge difference. Halo is unplayable on the average HDTV.
