normally i would suggest that he save the game to the hard drive, but bungie has always said that halo3 was optimized to play from disc.
he should be able to find a copy for like ten bucks though

I get your dilemma though. I think we are having fun and could possibly keep playing this for a bit, but if we don't, it's more money than you want to spend.

However, it sounded like poxxxxxxxxxxx plays reach on the regular
I much prefer swat on reach(maps are A+)but I can play either just as long as it is one shot

The only DLC maps I have for Reach are the Anniversary maps.

I don't have Reach anymore. I borrowed Halo 3 from a friend and he has two copies of Reach but he and his sons play firefight occasionally. I'll look for a copy this week or weekend
