With all gamers, you saying it won't do well with Gen Z just based off your kid not liking it is a ridiculous statement based on an extremely small sample size. Again it's doing stupid high numbers on social media views right now

Like it or not, gaming is a young person activity. When you have a huge company driving by metrics, they care about gaming sales to young people.
Young gamers can't even buy this game. Sure they'll get their parents to buy it but saying that the 20 something and 30 somethings aren't the driving force behind GTA games is pretty asinine

should have been released 7 years ago, at least.
Rockstar was working on Red Dead Redemption 2 at the time. They didn't start on it until after they released RDR 2. Rockstar may be taking a while on it but it's not like Rockstar to miss especially on GTA plus with all the shite Naughty Dog and other gaming studios have gotten into with crunch work it makes sense why some of these major studios are going to avoid any accusations of such which is the stated reason for delaying VI

I'm pretty sure it will do very well.
Looks like a modern-day version of Bonnie and Clyde, honestly. Looks like a lot of fun.

Bonnie and fricking Clyde, can not wait!!!
The only woke part of this game I see, they will probably tone down the trans and gay stuff they had in previous games. They applied that to GTA V, so probably just a continuation. It will be plenty offensive though, and play off stereotypes as all other games before.
There is a lot of loving action between Lucia and Jason, I wonder of Rockstar is going to finally go all in "Hot Coffee". If you have not watched the movie The Gamechangers, check it out. It gives you a feel on them wanting to put XXX content in the game. There was the big GTA San Andreas blow up (movie covers that), then GTA IV they just alluded to it and in GTA V they went as close to the AO rating as the could without getting it.
The big issue back in the day was AO games would not be carried by big box retailers (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, ToysRUs, etc.). Digital download is the norm now, so the question is will XBox and Playstation change their policy to allow AO? I doubt it.
M is 17+
AO is 18+
Seems pretty weird, that a year is that big of a deal. Your 17, feel free to virtually kill anyone you want in the game in whatever gruesome way you want. Your 18, oh you can see virtual intercourse now

I think the boundary stays the same as set in GTA V, they might push it a little and get within a millimeter of AO. Trailer looks amazing, this game is going to break records.

Well, what helps their case is that there are plenty of AAA games that incorporate spicy content and do pretty damn well regardless, like BG3 and Cyberpunk: 2077

When you're lying about what I said, you're admitting you are wrong.

My goodness, the lengths people will go to in an effort to defend a stupid position. You're pretending young people haven't always been the driving force behind GTA games sales? Just ridiculous.
What you said here should be seen as pure nonsense by anyone who was in high school or college when any of the other games came out.

Oh poor Rockstar just can't possibly work on 2 games at once.

This would be a huge downgrade. Especially given how this has completely taken over modern politics. Would be a startling and obvious omission.

Trailer looks great. They should've kept he Tom Petty music.

It is going to be offensive, do not worry. We are just not going to get Trevor threatening to push another guy's shite in as a punishment. I cannot even remember where the trans stuff was in GTA V?

They already stated this explicitly unfortunately. They were all in on the "no punching down" shite.
There will be no humor at the expense of the alphabet people or immigrants or anything like, which given a Miami setting is ridiculous.
They'll stick to their conventionally "acceptable" targets. Police bad, corporations bad, religion bad, rednecks bad, etc.
I worry they'll tone down t he crazy in general though. I don't want them to take the story and characters seriously like GTA has anything meaningful to say, it doesn't. It's supposed to be fun for fun's sake.
The trailer looks really good visually. The voice for Jason doesn't match his face very well for some reason to me though. It's hard to describe, it's too deep/old or something.

Did I say that? No the driving force currently is people in their 20s and 30s

Although what they dubbed super gamers or mostly just console and PC players seems to a strong mix of Gen Z and millennials

Accounting for 16% of total U.S. gamers and growing from 36 million in 2022 to 38.3 million players today, the “Super Gamers” are the industry’s most valuable consumers. This gamer segment, mostly made up of young males from the ages of 13 to 34, plays heavily across multiple platforms and spends significant amounts of money on gaming.
When it comes to strictly online games, it's millennials driving most of the sales

They're not the only company to do this, Naughty Dog does the same thing. Both studios are highly regarded as the best of the best. So if you want poorly made half baked shite like from EA than please go with them. But sometimes studios like to take time with their games and the results speak for themselves

I think you can look at how they did RDR2, they made an amazing game without all that. This is GTA though, and I think we are going to be surprised how much risque humor they do include. I feel like GTA is going to stay true to it's core, and not try to out do the humor of GTA V. That was an issue with the late 90s into early 2000s comedies in theaters. They kept trying to out do the others raunchiness, which will never age well. You reach a limit where you have just gone too far and humor becomes just damn nasty.

I stand corrected, that trailer doesn’t appear to be a woke piece of shite.
Will pay 100.

Neither studio actually makes enough games to be considered "the best" by anybody at anything.
I would say they are known for very technically polished games which is at least something.

I don't want a bunch of toilet humor or edgelord stuff, I want general irreverence.
I don't want long drawn out cut scenes meant to provoke emotion. Don't pretend like Jason and Lucia are real people we are supposed to care about. GTA characters, including the protagonists, are largely cartoon characters, keep it that way.

I agree with this. He doesn't sound like a Latino dude from Miami would typically sound like in a GTA game. Maybe he's not Latino? I guess that's possible.

This would ruin the game. No one wants this, even if they pretend they do.

His original design was very obviously white maybe he's supposed to be mixed or just a really tan white dude with dark hair

Still sounds very white for a dude from Miami who apparently hangs out with Latino gangbangers and is hooking up with a big booty Latina. Maybe it'll make sense.

Rockstar has updated the GTA VI site with a lot of pictures from the game and info about some of the characters and places
Interestingly enough we seem to have six separate areas in the game including Vice City all based on parts of Florida
Vice City - Miami
Leonida Keys - Florida Keys
Grassrivers - Everglades
Port Gellhorn - Tampa/Jacksonville
Ambrosia - Orlando maybe
Only head scratcher is Mount Kalaga since Florida doesn't have mountains it's possible they combined it with the mountains of Georgia. Also there's a license plate of another state called Gloriana so maybe that's it
