I’m not well versed on what to look for in my GPU.

Have a Radeon vii, think I overpaid for it a couple of years ago, but it seems to be on the fritz.

Looking at the Radeon 6800 xt. Seems to be the best bang for your buck. I mainly play league but do occasionally play battle Royales and would like 120 fps.

Can anyone explain to me why this 7900 xt is cheaper than the 6800 xt listed below?

That 6800xt is sold by a 3rd party seller. Looks like they just jacked up the price.

The 7900xt is sold by AMD through Amazon. Good price on the 7900xt.

$500-$600 preferably. Usually just play on 1080P, just want good fps for the battle royales.

Eyeing 1080p, if I could wait, I would probably wait and see what AMD releases in response to the $600 RTX 4070, which is being released in about a week and a half. With that said, being AMD hasn't actually set a launch date for any future cards, there's no guarantee of when that will be, and it could be upwards of six months.

If I wanted to pull the trigger right this second, even though I don't exactly love Asrock cards, I would probably pick up this 6800xt for $565: LINK

I’d look into getting an nvidia RTX 3070. A 3060 could also easily handle 1080p games at high settings and would be under your budget price listed.

For 1080p, AMD generally wins dollar for dollar due to lower driver overhead. RX cards frequently aren't my recommendation for high end gaming, but at the low to mid range, it's generally hard to beat.

6700xt in the 350 range would be fine for 1080p

6800xt would be ideal if you can get one around $500

Actually I just saw that apparently nvidia will be releasing their RTX 4070 later this month (speculated on the 13th). It’s MSRP is reported at $599 so IF you can snag one on release for msrp that would be BY FAR the best can get for $600. 4070 launch information
