Do you have to have the DVR open in order for " Xbox record that" to work? cant seem to get it to work. Also would a HD PVR be a better option if I want to do a lot of recording? I've heard the One will over work them.

No. My DVR isn't run through the xbox and "record that" works great for me on 2K14. I think it only works for games. Are you trying to record TV? Not sure that will work.

Two simple things I have learned:

- If you are on the home screen, pressing X will bring up your cable guide (the One guide)
- Demo's can be difficult to find, but they are there. Just say "Xbox, Bing" then say "Demo"

I wouldn't say this out loud; openly.

Tips for voice commands:

1. Be audible.

2. Enunciate.

3. Use the correct commands, i.e., you have to say "go to" instead of "play" when you want it to open a game.

4. Leave a slight pause between saying "Xbox" and whatever command your giving to make sure it realizes you're talking to it.

If you follow these things, voice commands will work pretty effortlessly and on the first try most of the time. I absolutely love how easy it makes it to switch between things and turn on/off your tv, console, surround, and cable box
