Well, the language was discussed in that video, and it seems like only one person at a time can play a certain game. So if we're both on a family list with someone else, I can't be playing Far Cry 3 while you are playing it. There are still questions about how that works, though. Like for instance, I've been on your friend's list for over 30 days, but I live in California and you live in Michigan. Does that mean I have access to games that are on your cloud, as long as you or someone else on the list isn't playing it at the same time?

If I was on the fence about which console to pick, I'd go PS4 just for the simplicity.

I mean, are they really going to let one person buy Watch Dogs, and let 10 other people take turns playing through the game without forking over a dime?

Apparently.
There will be some restrictions. I could see:
-only one "family" member accessing your games at a time
-family status has to be shared between parties
-restrictions on adding and removing "family"

here is a quote from Microsoft Xbox Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Yusuf Mehdi when asked about the family shared game library:
Here is the wording from Microsoft
quote:
For another, they don’t have to live in the primary owner’s house—I could name a friend that lives 3,000 miles away as one of my “family members". You’ll be able to link other Xbox Live accounts as having shared access to your library when you first set up a system and will also be able to add them later on.
Here is the wording from Microsoft
quote:
"Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."

I agree and it's awesome. Maybe Microsoft crunched the numbers and determined it wasn't that big of a bottom line hit. Singleplayer only games are much bigger on the used game market so the publisher and console manufacturer are only seeing a piece of the action one time as it is.
There are going to be restrictions on this service but at the very minimum you'll be able to access a "family members" game and play as long as they aren't playing that game at the same time.

10 seems like an awfully high number for this to just be cut and dry. I'm guessing there will still be a fee for people to pay for each game when they play it. Maybe one time.
