IIRC it took them about 3-4 years between the first wukong gameplay trailer and release. Lets hope this one isn’t that long

I want to play wukong, but the whole monkey man thing just really irks me. It's so weird

The thing I liked least about Wukong is the invisible boundaries. It's just such a cheap way to build levels, especially after playing something like Elden Ring.
Great gameplay besides that though. Really enjoyed it and probably my favorite souls like not made by Fromsoft.

Yeah the invisible walls sucked. I wish it was more open than it was but I still really enjoyed it.

Almost every character in the game is an anthropomorphic animal. It's hardly new for video games really, in a way it's old school. That style of character dominated gaming in the 80's and 90's.
It's not like a serious story type game either, it's not like a Last of Us wanna be with a moneky man, it's a video game, the game sorta relishes ir's ridiculousness. There's a headless minstrel at one point, that sort of thing.

This was indeed probably the biggest wart, it really wans't that bad in most chapters but the snow chapter, 3 I believe, oh boy it's awful there.
I liked the first game a lot regardless, it wasn't quite as good as everyone was making it out, but I still really liked it and am excited for the next which will probably improve on everything from the first if I had to guess.
