I don’t have a PS5 yet. I currently have an Xbox One. My initial plan was to hold off on ACV until I get the new console but I’m thinking it’s going to take awhile and if I get ACV on the Xbox to play in the meantime it will make the waiting game less tenuous.

I guess the only hesitation I have to that is are the graphics absolutely notably better on the new console? Like night and day difference between the previous generation? If it’s not some stark difference then I’ll probably do it, I just don’t want to miss out on astounding visuals because lack of patience

I have an Xbox series X and it is amazing with the graphical upgrade and framerates are butter smooth. It’s hard for me to tell you to wait since it is such a good time killer, but it’s a game that will show you how big a jump it makes imo

That might answer my question then. If the jump is noticeable, I just want to wait. Especially for a game like this where the world is crafted so artfully

I don't know if the visuals are any better, but it runs at a higher resolution at 60 FPS.

Theres not a huge jump graphics wise compared to previous new generations. The games do look better and you have ray tracing in some games but it's not as mind blowing as previous transitions. Where you see the biggest gains is in performance and load times. Getting that silky smooth 60fps and lightning fast load times is what truly makes it next gen.

Well Valhalla strikes me as a game designed around last gen that was ported over to next gen hardware.

You get 60 FPS and faster loading times because the game is running on more powerful hardware, but to my knowledge, there are no graphical bells and whistles added to this game in particular for next gen.

That said, I think we've been in diminishing returns ever since PS3/360 era.

Loading times and frames is completely worth it though to wait and play on next gen. The controller is better and more comfortable as well
